fastandfarawaylove asked: What are you proud of the most that you've accomplished this year? Either musically or non musically.

I managed to get my album released by a major label. I stood up to a lot of people who had (and continue to have) a lot of negative things to say about my record, the style of music, my personal appearance, my production, my lyrics, my instrumental prowess, or my capacity to tour myself. I don’t really believe in pride, but I’m very content with all of that. I’m happy I’ve maintained the confidence to continue climbing basically uphill (metaphorically speaking) while feeling like not only there were a mudslide but also bullies at the top throwing rocks. It’s basically like starting a small business: It’s a big risk and it’s a lot of hard work…you might never make money, but I’m really psyched I tried it. That’s the biggest thing in my year by far.
